This Privacy Policy explains how Markepi handles information. In short: Markepi has no backend, no account, and no data collection. Everything happens on your device.
None. Markepi does not collect personal information, analytics, identifiers, contact lists, location history, or device data. We do not run tracking SDKs, advertising SDKs, or any third-party analytics. There is no sign-up and no login.
Markepi is an on-device watermarking studio. Every watermark, frame, signature, and export is rendered entirely on your iPhone or iPad using Apple's native imaging frameworks. Your photos and videos are never uploaded, cached in a data center, or retained anywhere we can see — because we operate no server for Markepi.
When you choose to add Content Credentials to an export, signing happens entirely on your device. There is no network call in the signing path — no image, key, or manifest is uploaded. On a real device, Markepi uses a Secure Enclave-backed signing key whose private key is non-exportable by construction and physically cannot leave the device. Content Credentials are off by default and are only ever applied when you initiate signing.
Markepi does not request or require any device permissions to function.
You control the metadata written into your exports. Markepi offers privacy profiles (Preserve all, Strip sensitive, Minimal public) so you can remove sensitive fields such as precise location before you share. Any rights metadata (creator, copyright, credit) or Content Credentials you add are embedded in the file you export and are visible to anyone you share that file with — by your choice.
Markepi Pro is sold through the Apple App Store. Any purchase is processed by Apple under Apple's terms and privacy policy; orbitaar does not receive or store your payment information. Entitlements are managed on-device via Apple's StoreKit.
Markepi does not integrate third-party analytics or advertising services. If you follow external links (for example, App Store links), those services are governed by their own privacy policies.
Because we do not collect or store your data on our servers, we do not retain it. Your photos, templates, and settings live on your device. Deleting the app or its content removes them from your device.
Markepi is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we do not collect user data, we have no way to identify or store children's data.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date on this page.
