Terms of Use
Welcome to SyncAlbum. By using the SyncAlbum app ("App") you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Use of the App
SyncAlbum is made for private photo sharing among family and friends. You are responsible for your use of the App and for the content you add, including following the laws that apply to you.
No illegal content. You may not use SyncAlbum to upload, share or store:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexually exploits minors.
- Sexually explicit content shared without the consent of the people in it.
- Content that promotes illegal acts, violence, terrorism or hate.
Breaking this rule ends your right to use the App and may be reported to the authorities.
2. iCloud and CloudKit
SyncAlbum stores and shares your albums through Apple's iCloud (CloudKit). orbitaar does not run servers for SyncAlbum and cannot see your albums. Your data is therefore also subject to Apple's iCloud Terms and Conditions. Apple may act on content in your iCloud account under its own policies, including suspending the account and reporting illegal content to the authorities; orbitaar is not responsible for those actions. Albums use your iCloud storage, and the photos people add to an album you own count toward your storage.
3. Sharing
You decide who joins the albums you own and can remove people at any time. People you approve can view, download and add to the album while they have access. You keep all rights to your photos and grant the people in an album a limited permission to view and save them within the App.
4. Conduct
You agree not to harass, abuse or harm others, impersonate anyone, interfere with the App, or try to reach albums or features you have not been given access to.
5. Free Tier and Unlimited Albums
SyncAlbum is free to download. The free tier lets you own up to 3 shared albums, with up to 10 friends joining each album free. Albums you join and private albums do not count toward the limit. Unlimited Albums is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that removes the limit on shared albums you own. There is no subscription.
Purchases are made through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms, including its refund policy. You can restore the purchase on your other devices with Restore Purchases. If you bought credits in an earlier version of SyncAlbum, Unlimited Albums is included at no extra cost.
6. Termination
We may suspend or end your access to the App if you break these Terms. Because the App relies on iCloud, it will not work if Apple suspends your iCloud account.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that it will be error-free or uninterrupted. Keep your own copies of photos that matter to you.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, orbitaar is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of data, arising from your use of the App.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may change these Terms. We will post the new version on this page with a new date, and tell you in the App about important changes. Using the App after a change means you accept the new Terms.
10. Apple Standard EULA
Your use of the App is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
